That’s it! Our first full week of the new term with both groups of education students is almost over. We’ve welcomed both brand new learners to our Flourish group and our returning learners to the Bloom group. Early nerves have come and gone – for both staff and students! As we settle into our education program, our learners will continue to develop, building on the fantastic start that they’ve made so far.
All of us have had a very fun week, with exciting team-building activities for the new group and challenging activities for our returning learners, designed to get their brains working hard. Our new learners have also been trying some of the activities we host here at Kehelland; including yoga and jewellery making.
Not content with brand new learners, we’ve also used a brand new classroom space this week, at the nearby Duchy College. Duchy offer a range of courses set in their amazing 47-hectare working agricultural and horticultural site. The welcome we have received from all their staff and students has been incredible. We already feel at home on their site, and we made sure our first day was spent exploring. We saw their animal care buildings, meeting donkeys, calves and goats, and even boa constrictors, lizards and skinks!
The team are busy preparing for the autumn term ahead, with lots of exciting ideas and plans – please keep yourselves up to date through this website or our Kehelland College Facebook page.
