Meet the Team

Our team is made up of a handful of dedicated, passionate individuals who are all committed to providing the highest level of teaching and learning. We meet regularly as a team, and strive for continuous development and training—ensuring we are consistently following good practice guidelines and maximising our effectiveness for our learners.

Our Tutors

Jon, Dan, Michelle and Adam

Our tutors hold a wealth of experience, each in different backgrounds and bring different styles and methods to our education programs here. Jon and Michelle are our Program of Study tutors; we are doubling our provision in September and Michelle is teaching our new learners on the ‘Flourish’ program, while Jon is taking our current learners onto ‘Bloom’, our second year program at Kehelland.

Dan is a freelance tutor who is currently delivering an Independent Living Skills course to some of our learners aged 19 and over – this includes basic health and safety and cooking skills.

Adam will be delivering English and Maths to both the Flourish and Bloom programs from September, integrating this learning into their timetables to ensure practical application of the subject.

Learning Support Staff

Our current team is made up of Aaron, Anna, Fiona, Paul, Holly and Fi, who all work closely with their learner(s) to decide how best to frame information according to their support needs. The whole team have informal daily catch ups and monthly meetings to adapt these methods as necessary.

Our learning support staff all provide both classroom and on-site support for our learners, with a focus on encouraging the learners’ independent thought and confidence in their own actions. We’re dedicated to not ‘spoon-feeding’ our learners with answers; instead, we use open questions and phrases to guide the learner to finding the answer on their own.
