Program of Study
Our two programs of study, named ‘Flourish’ (Year 1) and ‘Bloom’ (Year 2), are year-long programs that will run in term-time from September 2019. Our current group of learners will progress from ‘Flourish’ to ‘Bloom’ and a new classroom group will begin their time with us studying the ‘Flourish’ course.
Each program comprises of between 5 – 7 units, which this year have included Household Skills, Garden Horticulture, Health and Safety Awareness and Accessing Public Transport, amongst others. We are constantly evaluating our provision, to ensure we are delivering appropriate, meaningful and achievable subjects across our learner group. We are striving for progression for our learners; to provide them with the knowledge they need to gain skills and grow in confidence.
Adult Groups (aged 19 and over)
We also provide courses to our older learners, taking place one day per week, focusing on Independent Living Skills. Topics on this course include Basic Food Preparation and Food Safety and includes our learners making lots of tasty food, and even a trip out to a local restaurant.
