Please join us as we bless our wonderful orchards and wish them bountiful and healthy harvests for the coming year.
We invite you to come and make a lot of noise to scare off any unwelcome pests that might hamper the health of our trees, celebrate harvests been and look onwards to harvests to come.
Tatters Morris & the Redruth Festival Band will lead our celebratory procession from the tractor shed up to the orchards where we will bless and dress an apple tree in the orchard, sing, dance and make merry. The tradition of soaking bread in cider and hanging it in the trees to ward of unwanted spirits will take place.
We will all make our way back to the tractor shed after dark for a Ceilidh led by the wonderful Krelys who will absolutely guarantee that, at the very least your feet will be tapping, but hopefully will all get up and dance the night away.
Pilchard Press, St. Ives are sourcing the finest craft beers and ciders for us again for which we are so grateful and our kitchen will be serving refreshments. more of that to follow.
