Thanks to all those who came to support this event.
Numbers were a little down because of the weather, but it was, nonetheless, a really wonderful day with fabulous music, bar and delicious food.
The lantern procession led by Haylestorm Samba and with the children of Kehelland School, was beautiful and finished off brilliantly with a static performance from Haylestorm Samba, Fire Performance by Kelda of Roustabouts Collective and LED hooping with one of our talented horticultural support workers, Dawn. Our resident bar man for the day, Andrew from Atlantic Brewery was great company and served delicious beverages including zinger alcoholic ginger and chilli beer; delicious! We are looking forward to Atlantic Brewery’s return on Apple Day on October 12th.
Many people braved the chilli challenge and we saw loads of plants purchased and taken away to be enjoyed in peoples’ homes.
We will return to our summer date next year, so please watch out for ChilliFest 2o20!

Hello, My husband Simeon and I own The Tube Coffee Van in Penzance and up until now have been selling organic coffee, cakes and soups (Simeon has trading a few years already at the Newlyn Fish Festival).
However, we have now decided to expand the business to incoporate selling delicious french crepes.
Our crepes stall will be managed by myself and will be a seperate venture to the coffee van but will run under the same umbrella with a similar look and feel. The menu is simple but delicious focusing on serving tradtional sweet french crepes.
I know its quite late in the day but we are wondering whether you might still have room for us to sell our crepes and or coffee at your Apple Day this year?
I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Many thanks,
Josie
Hi Josie
Application forms are being sent out today, so please keep your eyes peeled. I’ve forwarded your details to our administrator.
I’m thinking there is a possibility you would be able to have a stall as part of the Camborne Produce Market, but we need to have all applicants in ASAP and then we will select based on the widest reach and variety.
Hope this makes sense and many thanks for getting in touch.
