COMMUNITY: Community Juice Press

07/10/2019 by Sally Pyner 1 Comment

NOW AT CAPACITY!!!!! Sorry, we cannot take any more apples for this press.

If you have more than 60kg of apples and you would like to consider a single press of your own orchard, please get in touch by calling (01209) 718975 and we’ll do our best to help!

We will be juicing another  ‘Community Press’ on Saturday 12th October as part of our 15th year of Apple Day Celebrations.

If you would like your apples to make up part of this special blend, please bring them to us before Friday 11th October at 4.o0pm.

We will weigh in your crop when you deliver it and add it to the harvest. Once we know how many litres we have pressed in total we will work out how many bottles each individual ‘weigh in’ has produced. This can be bought back at cost (bottle cost, staff time & pasteurisation costs).

Want to take part? Please bring us your apples!

Your apples must be ripe (brown-pipped) and with no more than 1/5 bruising or inconsistencies on each apple*. They can be cookers or dessert and any colour, size or shape.

*The juicing team may not include apples that do not meet the requirements above as it can affect the quality of the final juice.
