Yes, we managed to wait until November before posting about the Seasonal Festivities, but it is now approaching fast!
However you choose to celebrate the time of year, we hope to welcome you to Kehelland to either choose a tree from our plantation, or from our range of pre-cut trees. We will have different varieties to choose from, all of which are less likely to drop needles, but still give a beautiful scent in the house.
We will be open on Saturdays 2nd, 9th and 16th December. The last date for tree deliveries will be Friday 15th December and we will be at the Camborne Produce Market on 23rd, taking orders for your Christmas Dinner Veg in advance if needed.
We are looking forward to getting into the festive spirit.
For any further information about our trees or any general sales enquiries please call the shop on (01209) 718975.
Don’t forget our range of seasonal plants available from our nursery: cyclamen, paper whites, lamium, pansies, hyacinths and more. Plus a wonderful range of home-made preserves and wooden items, spring bulbs and more available from the shop. Pop in and see us.
We will start wreath making very soon and will offer a workshop in early December. Watch this space as our workshops fill up fast!
How much is the rent a christmas tree?
Hi there Julie. At the moment this is in it’s earliest stages, therefore we have potted on Christmas trees and the buy/ rent would be the same, £15. We hope to set aside some space on our land to start using root bags that can be lifted each year, but we have a big back-log of more pressing works on our site maintenance team, so this has to take a bit of a back seat.
I will continue to prune our existing stock and you are welcome to come and look around at our trees to see what might suit you.
We do a planting day in February which is really popular. People have a cut Christmas tree from our plantation, but they come back and plant at least one in it’s place which give them a 10% off voucher off our Christmas trees.
I hope this is helpful and that we might see you soon. Best Wishes Sally (Horticultural Coordinator)
Hi. We bought a small living Christmas tree in a pot from a DIY store in Truro two weeks ago. We have watered and looked after it lovingly over the holiday period and now, rather than leaving it out for Cornwall Council to collect, we’d like to re-plant it. We do not have a garden. Do you have any recommendations ?
Hi Rob and thank you for thinking of us. If you would like to plant it at our plantation you are more than welcome. We are doing planting on February 19th and 20th and you can find yourself a little spot. Other than that, if it is pot-grown it has a good chance of survival if you prune it twice (Februray and August) and keep it fed and watered in a good size pot. You would need to root prune it every few years, but it should survive. If you want to call in to plant it, feel free to give us a call on (01209) 718975. Very best wishes Sally Pyner (Horticultural Coordinator).
Hello! I know, mad to be thinking of a Christmas tree in august… BUT! Could I make enquiries about renting a tree please? What are your prices? Thanks you, Tilly
Hi Tilly. I’m really sorry but we have not had the resources to set up a rental scheme yet, much as we would love to and it’s still part of our longer term business plan.
We sell trees in pots which are about 3 foot tall and growing, or if you cut a tree from our plantation, we plant more than we cut every year.
Please get in touch if you would still like to come along to us to choose a tree and keep an eye on our website and social media as we will publicise as soon as we are able to start rentals.
Many thanks for you enquiry
