Thanks to all of you who joined us for Apple Day this year. It was wet and it was very soggy underfoot, but that did not deter many and we had a really wonderful day.
Perhaps the most exciting thing for us this year was volume and varieties of apple juice we were able to produce in the weeks running up to the event.
We pressed around 2.5 tonnes of apples, producing 1, 277 bottles of juice and 236 pouches. This was made up of several contracts: Duchy College, Lambriggan Court, Bosilliac Cottages, Goonzoyle to name just a few!
We are so grateful to Sands Boutique who raised £252 which we could use to run a costume workshop run by Dawn of Upcycle Kernow. We created an Apple Man costume which will be in use at Kehelland for all future Apple Days and Wassails in the coming years.
There was delicious food on offer on site, a full produce market, craft stalls, blacksmith, Gwel an Mor wildlife experience, beekeepers and more.
We partied on into the night with a great Ceilidh with Whippletree Ceilidh band and then the marvellous 3 Daft Monkeys.
It was another Apple Day to remember.
