We have been producing some really beautifully crafted items, thanks to the Cornwall Association of Woodturners.

They have been volunteering to support our trainees and doing the most wonderful work.

Trainees have learned a fantastic array of new skills. Learning to use the lathe, saws and drills, sand down, varnish and finish items for sale. The impact on all the individuals involved in our Thursday Group has been 100% positive.

A stack of sweet chestnut cheese boards waiting to be oiled, One of our trainees has taken to the fine art of Pyrography, to make a new sign for the Cornish Food Box Company plant sales area we are developing.

The level of skill and concentration required to do this work is quite intense to say the least and the result is quite stunning.
